What our Students Say...
DBS was the greatest fit for me for several reasons. The program duration is only one year and the program is regarded as academically rigorous with an outstanding faculty. Studying in Dublin helped to understand the European etiquettes and business culture. Even before the final results were out, I got a job as a National Sales/Marketing manager. I never expected to get a job of my choice so quickly that too in the toughest economic conditions. The reputation of the degree holds testimony to this
Arun George James, India
Master of Business Administration - Graduate November 2009
I chose DBS because I knew it would offer excellent lecturing having studied my undergraduate degree there. It's one of the best institutions offering ACCA and DBSs increasing award winners speaks for itself.

Recognition & Accreditation
THE HIGHER EDUCATION & TRAINING AWARDS COUNCIL (HETAC)
HETAC is a public body established under the Qualifications (Education and Training) Act, 1999. It is the national awarding body in Ireland for higher education and training qualifications outside of the university sector at all levels up to doctoral award. All HETAC awards fit in to the National Framework of Qualifications (NFQ) which was launched in 2003. The NFQ was designed to create a single, coherent and more easily understood qualifications system for all levels of education and training in Ireland. It also accords with European and international developments to enhance learner mobility within and between national systems. In association with DBS, HETAC confers awards to students of the College at Higher Certificate, Degree and Postgraduate levels.
LIVERPOOL JOHN MOORES UNIVERSITY (LJMU)
In 1989 Dublin Business School formed a partnership with Liverpool Business School, part of Liverpool John Moores University. The University can trace its origins back to 1823 and is one of the largest Universities in the U.K. The relationship developed very positively over the years and in 1995 DBS was awarded accredited status by Liverpool John Moores University. As an accredited institution, the College can design and develop its own degree programmes. In recent years, further developments have taken place between the two institutions with the launch of a range of postgraduate masters programmes. In association with Dublin Business School, Liverpool John Moores University confers awards to students on a range of Undergraduate Degree and Postgraduate Masters programmes.
UNIVERSITY OF WALES
Founded by the Royal Charter in 1893 the University of Wales is the second largest University in the UK, after the University of London, with around 80,000 students enrolled on courses leading to its degrees and other qualifications. Altogether, more than a quarter of a million students have been awarded degrees from the University of Wales since its establishment. The LL.B (Hons) in Irish Law at DBS is jointly awarded by the University of Wales and the Higher Education and Training Awards Council (HETAC). The MSc in International Business and the MSc in E-Business Management are also awarded by the University of Wales.
PROFESSIONAL RECOGNITION
All of our degrees are recognised for exemption purposes by the Association of Chartered Accountants (ACA), Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA), Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA) and the Certified Public Accountants (CPA). Our BA (Hons) Accounting and Finance Degree programme receives the maximum number of exemptions available from the professional accounting bodies. Success throughout our 35 years has been based on a commitment to excellence in all aspects of teaching and student support and on the dedication of our highly qualified staff. The Professional School at DBS maintains a consistent record of exceptionally high pass rates, far in excess of international norms, and outstanding individual performances, including prizes for 1st Place in the world on several occasions.
